Finding best specs in a budget phone is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

When we think of a smartphone, we always imagine a costly item that will suck all our savings.

That’s not true because there are best smartphones under 15000 in Nepal. Some of these low budget devices can be compared with middle range or even high level cell phones.

In this blog, we have selected a few smartphones that not only have great performance and style, but they are also sold at a low retail price.

The large companies have learned that selling only over-expensive products is not good for the business.

So, these giants have shifted their focus to low budget phones. That is the reason why you can buy inexpensive phones of some top brands like Oppo, Vivo, Samsung, Realme, Nokia and Motorola.

1) Samsung Galaxy M01

(Budget smartphone with large storage)

Pros Cons
Beautiful Pictures None
Powerful RAM
Long-lasting battery
Stylish design

The newest phone in M01 series, Samsung Galaxy M01 comes with a huge touchscreen display that has a 5MP selfie camera at the front and a dual camera(13MP, 12MP) setup on the rear.

Similarly, the performance of the phone is pretty good as it is powered by Snapdragon 439 Octa-Core processor and 3GB RAM.

It also provides a large storage capacity of 32GB along with a great upgradability option to extend the ROM to 512GB.

The face recognition system enables you to quickly unlock the phone. These features and high powered processors eat a lot of energy.

To cope with this problem, the Samsung Galaxy M01 is packed with a Li-ion 4000mAh battery that can continuously run videos for 16 hours.

Large storage Missing fingerprint sensor
Huge display Wireless charging doesn’t support

You will fall in love with Oppo A1K at first glance. The main reason for this is the sleek design with black and bright red color imprinted on the plastic body.

The 6.1 inches touchscreen provides a 16 million color display with a smart bar feature for quickly shifting from one app to another.

The MediaTek Helio P22 SoC chipset and PowerVR GE8329 graphics card along with RAM of 2GB are the main powerhouse of this device.

Oppo A1k can shoot high quality videos and pictures from selfie camera(5MP) and back camera(8MP).

3) Nokia 2.4

(The king is back with the same toughness)

Pros Cons
Robust Metal Body Becomes hot while using heavy apps
Stylish Design Doesn’t support fast charging
Affordabe price
Bigger display
Expandable storage
Great Cameras
Long Lasting Battery Life

Nokia 2.4 can’t be called an entry level smartphone because its specs are somewhat the same as many high-end handsets.

The Fjord, Dusk and Charcoal colors combined with the 3D nano-textured cover design really looks lovely on the phone.

Nokia 2.4 is not only strong from the outside, but the Mediatek Helio P22 processor and PowerVR GE8320 GPU makes it solid even from core.

Likewise, the 6.5 inch HD+ display is pretty big for a phone like this. No matter if you buy the 2GB/32GB variant or 3GB/63GB variant, the storage can be increased to up to 512GB.

Nokia 2.4 also has dual camera setup(13MP, 2MP) on the back and a 5MP selfie camera.

These cameras are extremely good at taking photographs and can even shoot detailed images in the dark.

This handset also has a hefty Li-ion 4500 mAh battery that can run for 48 hours, as per company’s claim.

Can shoot 1080p videos Uses old android version
Fast Charging Poor performance
Fast fingerprint and face unlock Easily catches fingerprint and smudges
Large internal storage Picture taken in dark are not so good
Low budget
Gaming mode
Suitable RAM for playing PUBG

Coolpad Cool 5 is one of those phones that have great hardwares and system but they lack the finishing.

Nevertheless, we couldn’t resist keeping Cool 5 in this list because of the higher specs that it offers at a lower price.

The Coolpad Cool 5 has a 6.22 inches HD display and on the top of it, there’s a tiny notch where lies the 16MP front camera.

Speaking of the camera, the back of the phone houses a dual camera setup of 13MP(main) and 2MP(depth).

Despite having a plastic body, the handset is tough and color options of Gradient Blue and Midnight Blue look classy and really attractive.

However, the plastic body quickly attracts fingerprints which makes the phone look old and dull.

The Coolpad Cool 5 also uses the same CPU and GPU that is used in Nokia 2.0 which was kind of disappointing for us.

In spite of using a not so powerful processor and graphics card, the engineers have fit Cool 5 with a powerful 4GB RAM.

Similarly, the smartphone has a large internal storage of 64GB and you can create up to 128GB using a microSD card.

Coolpad Cool 5 uses a 4000mAh battery that lasted for longer than 10 hours. Overall, Cool 5 might not be a perfect smartphone but it leaves all other entry-level handsets behind in terms of security, storage and battery.
